What is the last element in Genshin Impact?

The “last piece of the puzzle.” – When Genshin Impact first launched, it included playable characters for six elements: Pyro (fire), Hydro (water), Anemo (wind), Electro (electricity), Cryo (ice), and Geo (earth). However, anyone paying attention at all to Genshin’s lore.

some of its monsters, or even its loading screen would have noticed that a seventh element was seemingly missing in action: Dendro, or nature. For the first two major Genshin Impact chapters, Dendro remained elusive. But with 3.0 and the introduction of dendro-focused continent Sumeru, we’re at last getting a taste of greenery.

Bow users Collei and Tighnari kicked dendro off alongside the Traveler gaining a Dendro element through the Sumaru storyline — and more are on the way. But why did it take so long for developer miHoYo to introduce Dendro, especially when all other elements were present from the start? What was it about Dendro that required a little more time in the veggie steamer? In an interview with IGN, a Genshin Impact spokesperson shed a little bit of light on what, exactly, took Dendro so long to join its elemental brethren, as well as why its character rollout has been a bit slow: The Dendro element is the last piece of the puzzle in the seven-element system.

  • It is also the representative element of Sumeru, the nation of wisdom.
  • Therefore, when we designed its elemental reaction mechanisms, we wanted it to be an element with more profound gameplay, one that enables multi-element reactions.
  • However, at the time of design, we were unable to come up with a mechanic that the development team found satisfying and innovative.

As the development of the Sumeru area progressed, we had gathered more ideas and inspirations amidst constant polishing. We made a deeper connection between the Dendro element and Pyro/Hydro/Electro elements, so that the Elemental Reactions are not only reflected by characters, but also in the entire ecological environment of Sumeru.

  1. For example, there are many plants and creatures with Dendro characteristics.
  2. Such plants and creatures have the potential of exhibiting polymorphic transformation that alters their appearances, functions, and even behavior, which is also the reason why we released the Dendro element along with its featured nation.

So for Dendro, it was largely a matter of miHoYo wanting multi-element interactions but struggling to come up with the right ones until Sumeru development prompted some inspiration. The core concepts of the Dendro element have always been catalysis, wisdom, and life.

However, the in-game presentation of its gameplay has gone through many iterations over time. We hope that the Dendro element can not only symbolize Sumeru’s image of the nation of wisdom, but also have a system of elemental reactions that conforms to common sense and contains enough strategy and gameplay diversity to connect more elements together.

Genshin Impact Dendroculus Locations Sumeru, Dendro, and everything else we’ve seen in 3.0 come as part of an ongoing 10-year roadmap of content for Genshin Impact that began at its launch. MiHoYo told us that it has a “rather clear long-term plan in mind” that it can’t share due to spoilers.

  1. But everything we know from Genshin’s lore indicates we’ll likely visit the respective continents of the all the elements we haven’t been to yet (Cryo, Pyro, and Hydro).
  2. MiHoYo has affirmed that Dendro is the “last piece of the puzzle in the seven-element system” so we’re unlikely to get any surprise new elements, but more dendro characters down the line are sure to add even more interesting elemental interactions.

We also spoke to miHoYo about its plans to bring back limited-time seasonal events that have already completed. And for more, you can take a look at several upcoming new characters for 3.1 as well as our review of Genshin at launch. Rebekah Valentine is a news reporter for IGN.

Who owns the heart shaped island?

Heart-Shaped Island Also known as “Lover’s Island”, Galešnjak Island lies a third of a mile off the coast of Turanj, Croatia. At just 164 feet wide at its widest point, this heart-shaped isle serves as a hotspot for Valentine’s Day boat rides and spectacular aerial views.

  1. That is, until recently, when it instead served as a reminder of the pitfalls of love to the broken-hearted.
  2. Galešnjak Island is likely the largest and most accurately defined heart-shaped island in the world, and perhaps also the most famous, after going viral on social media in February of 2009.
  3. Originally spotted by a 19th century cartographer working for Napoleon, Galešnjak Island is home to three ancient Illyrian burial mounds, but today has a population of zero.

It is currently owned by Tonci Juresko, who recently made the controversial decision of deforesting two large patches of the island. To those who had always wanted to visit the island, this was, of course, heartbreaking — literally. But all along, Juresko had a plan in mind to make the island even more romantic.

Once he heard of Angelina Jolie’s consideration of making a $16.1 million purchase of a New York heart-shaped island for Brad Pitt’s birthday, Juresko realized that tourism to Galešnjak Island could be quite profitable. So, he cut down the natural foliage to replant 250 trees and build a chapel to host weddings.

Juresko also plans to rebuild the pier his grandfather built on the island 80 years ago. Says Juresko, “I will plant olive trees, and the island will be more beautiful than before.” Perhaps in both love and in heart-shaped islands, we have to endure heartbreak for a time in hopes of reaching a bright, beautiful future.

What is Dendro good against?

What do Dendro elemental reactions do? – Dendro reacts with Pyro, Electro, and Hydro in the following ways:

Quicken (Dendro + Electro) : When Quickened, Electro attacks activate “Aggravate” and do more damage. Further Dendro attacks to a Quickened enemy activate “Spread,” which increases Dendro damage to the enemy. Burning (Dendro + Pyro) : This elemental reaction has always been in the game, so you may already be familiar with it. Burning enemies take Pyro damage over time. Bloom (Dendro + Hydro) : Bloom causes Dendro Cores to fall off the enemy and onto the floor. When Dendro Cores are hit with Pyro, this causes “Burgeon,” which does AoE Dendro damage. When Dendro Cores are hit with Electro, the cores become homing “Sprawling Shots.” Cores left on the ground will explode and do AoE Dendro damage.

All in all, using Electro against Dendro enemies will give you a huge advantage, so it’s time to dust off your Fischl, Beidou, Razer, or other Electro characters.

Is Hilichurl a human?

Lore – It is heavily implied that hilichurls were once human beings who were cursed by the gods with immortality and mutated into monstrous forms as a result. They likely originate from the many ancient civilizations that once used to thrive on Teyvat before their eventual demise.

While their existence has been known for over a thousand years, their presence has increased since the Cataclysm occurring 500 years ago – coinciding with the destruction of the ancient human civilization of Khaenri’ah. In fact, Dainsleif confirms that the hilichurls encountered in the Chasm are actually the former citizens of Khaenri’ah.

Due to the curse, memories of their former life are gradually forgotten, as well as most semblances of humanity they once had. Their intelligence and behavior are gradually degraded, and they can no longer speak nor understand the common language of Teyvat,

  • Despite all this, Hilichurls still seem to be capable of at least some rudimentary self-awareness and emotion.
  • For instance, they still recall what it was like to have a human face, as the reason they wear masks to hide their true countenance is because they cannot stand the mental anguish of seeing their own hideous reflections in a body of water.

Hilichurls are unable to truly die a natural death on account of their immortality; as they grow older, their physical bodies and mental state erode to the point that is like ‘death’. Because of this, aged Hilichurls are in a state of perpetual agony.
